1. Agreement
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a contract between you and 16 App Labs LLC ("Pipli Stories", "we", "us") for use of the Pipli Stories apps, website and services (the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Who can use Pipli Stories
- You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account or buy a subscription.
- Children may listen to stories only under the supervision of the parent or guardian who owns the account.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account, including activity by children in your household.
- Keep your sign-in credentials secure and tell us promptly at support@piplistories.com if you suspect unauthorized use.
3. Your account and family profiles
You agree to give accurate information and keep it up to date. When you add family members, pets or other people to your cast, you confirm you have the right to use their names in stories. You may edit or delete profiles at any time, as described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Free use, plans and billing
- Free use. Guests get a limited number of free plays per day, reset at local midnight. Free accounts have limits on family slots and story generation. We may change free limits at any time.
- Paid plans. Paid plans (such as Family Plus) unlock more slots and generation, subject to fair-use limits shown in the app. Prices, taxes and features are shown before you buy.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal in your App Store or Google Play settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- Free trials. If a trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends.
- Price changes. We will tell you in advance of any price change, and you can cancel before it applies.
- Refunds. Purchases through Apple or Google follow their refund policies. For direct purchases, payments are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise at purchase.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Enter names, lessons, worries or other text that is hateful, sexual, violent, harassing, or otherwise inappropriate for children.
- Use real people's names to mock, bully or harm them, or include anyone's sensitive personal data.
- Try to bypass safety filters, manipulate the AI with hidden instructions, or generate content that breaks these Terms.
- Copy, scrape, resell, or redistribute the Service or its content commercially.
- Reverse engineer, disrupt, or overload the Service, or access it by automated means.
- Break any applicable law.
We may remove inputs or stories, limit features, or suspend accounts that violate these rules.
6. AI-generated stories
Personalized stories are created by AI from the settings you choose. Every story passes automated safety checks, and some are reviewed by people. Even so, AI output can be imperfect, repetitive or not quite right for your child. Please preview stories when in doubt and report anything concerning to support@piplistories.com. Stories are for personal, non-commercial family enjoyment and are not educational, medical or therapeutic advice.
7. Intellectual property
- Our content. The Service, the curated library, artwork, voices, characters, story structures and the Pipli Stories brand belong to us or our licensors. You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use them within the Service.
- Your inputs. You keep any rights you have in the text you enter. You give us a licence to use it only to provide, secure and improve the Service as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Generated stories. You may play, download (where offered) and share generated stories with family and friends for non-commercial purposes. We keep rights in the underlying templates, voices and artwork. AI-generated works may not be eligible for copyright protection in every country.
- Feedback. If you send suggestions, we may use them freely without obligation to you.
8. Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features, stories or plans, and the Service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. Offline playback works only for content downloaded to your device. If we remove a paid feature you rely on, we will give notice and, where fair, a pro-rated refund.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that every AI-generated story will suit your child. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or loss of data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or INR 5,000 (or USD 100 if you live outside India). These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
11. Indemnity
You agree to compensate us for claims and costs arising from your breach of these Terms or misuse of the Service, including content you enter.
12. Termination
You may stop using Pipli Stories and delete your account at any time in Profile → Settings → Privacy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms, with notice where reasonable. On termination, your licence ends and we delete your data as described in the Privacy Policy. Sections that by nature should survive (such as IP, disclaimers, liability and governing law) continue to apply.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version with a new "Last updated" date and notify you in the app or by email of material changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
15. General
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between us. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account; we may assign these Terms in a merger or sale. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for the Service.
